History/BackgroundThe International Immigrants Foundation was founded in 1973 by Mr. Edward Juarez-Pagliocco. IIF/ICM has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and is associated with the Department of Public Information as a charitable non-governmental, non-political, non-profit tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization. IIF/ICM has been providing orientation and direct immigration, naturalization, and settlement counseling for near 30 years to immigrants from all cultures, race, religion and social status. In the early 1980s IIF/ICM established the International Cultures Celebration, for the purpose of fostering positive inter-cultural relations in our society through fun events of inclusion. The Celebration includes the International Cultures Parade & Expo-Fest on Madison Avenue, International Cultures Conference & Star of Harmony Award at the United Nations, and; Passport to the World at various locations throughout New York City. |
