Who should participate in the Visa Lottery?

What education level or work experience do I need to qualify?

What education lever or work experience do I need to qualify?

Through Education: If the applicant has completed high school or additional education.

Through Occupation : If in the previous 5 years you have worked 2 years in an occupation that requires at least 2 years of training or experience. You may want to check your occupation’s "SVP" (Specific Vocational Preparation) to make sure it meets the U.S. Department of Labor Standard according to its Dictionary of Occupational Titles. Please note that your occupation’s SVP must be at least # 6 or higher to qualify, This is the minimum standard required. If you are not sure whether you qualify, join thousands of our worldwide members.

Important: If you are undocumented, or might be undocumented in the fiscal year of 2002, DO NOT APPLY for the Lottery.
