The International Cultures Mission and the International Immigrants Foundation (IIF/ICM) is seeking to engage the services of a Marketing and Communications Director who meets the following criteria: Brief Description: Hardworking, aggressive, visionary, and result-oriented individual with excellent communications and writing skills. 4-yr college degree and min. 2 yrs experience required. Requirements: Computer literate, with access, excel, and graphic design skills a +. Must assume responsibilities for media and corporate relations; be able to handle multiple tasks; prepare proposals and promotional material; make presentations to media, corporations, advertising agencies; meet and interact with media representatives and corporations; organize and supervise fundraising activities; and market multi-cultural special events. Salary & Benefits: Negotiable, according to experience and qualifications. The IIF/ICM was founded in 1973 by Mr. Edward Juarez-Pagliocco. IIF/ICM has consultative status with the United National Economic and Social Council, and is associated with the Department of Public Information as a charitable non-governmental, non-political, non-profit tax exempt 501 (C) (3) organization. IIF/ICM has been providing orientation and direct immigration, naturalization, and settlement counseling for the last 25 years to immigrants from all cultures, race, religion, and social status. In the early 1980s IIF/ICM established the International Cultures Celebration, for the purpose of fostering positive inter-cultural relations in our society through fun events of inclusion. The Celebrations includes the International Cultures Parade & Expo-Fest on Madison Avenue, International Cultures Conference & Star of Harmony Award at the United Nations, and Passport to the World at various locations throughout New York City. This unique, elegant and beautiful Celebration is made of a series of programs specially designed to portray world cultures and to provide a solution to the lack of understanding that fosters racism, discrimination and the anti-immigrant sentiment in our society.
