THE INTERNATIONAL IMMIGRANTS FOUNDATION INAUGURATES MULTICULTURAL CENTER 

WHAT: On Friday, March 2, 2007 the International Immigrants Foundation welcome the Board and Staff of the National Association of  Hispanic Journalist (NAHJ) at the Inauguration of the Multicultural Center. 

The Honorable Guillermo Linares, Commissioner of the Immigration in New York and Edward Juarez, President and Founder of the International Immigrants Foundation will be in charge of the cutting ribbon ceremony.  

In the words of Edward Juarez, “We proudly announce the opening of the Multicultural Center, an unique opportunity for all the communities in the tri-state area to have an space of their own in the heart of Manhattan, to conduct business as well  as showcase the artistic expressions of their heritage.” 

The Multicultural Center with more than 2000 square feet of open space, in the 2nd floor of the Immigrants Building, will be holding exhibits , conferences , workshops and  business meetings starting next month.
